Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL)

This USCCA training program is specifically structured to assist people who want to buy a handgun but do not have adequate experience. Students are encouraged to apply for Handgun Qualification License (HQL) in the State of Maryland only after completing the USCCA introductory concealed carry course. The Maryland State HQL is a necessary license for acquiring and carrying a personal weapon.

- Clearing Malfunctions
- Other Use of Force Options
- Defensive Shooting Fundamentals

- Sighted & Non-Sighted Fire
- Trigger Control
A semi-automatic pistol, revolver, and Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger (SIRT) training pistol are used in the practical application. Prior to the live fire, all live-fire drills and range competencies are undertaken on a virtual range with the SIRT training pistol. A Smith & Wesson 9mm caliber pistol is used for the live-fire portion of the course.
This training class includes a pistol, ammo, protective gear, and targets.
This class follows the Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals textbook, which is jam-packed with comprehensive illustrations and detailed coverage of everything you'll learn!
CLASS SIZE LIMITED TO 6 STUDENTS PER CLASS
All classroom portions of training are on Zoom. You can request in person at your location for no extra charge. Shooting range training and shooting qualifications are live on the range.
